Prof. Denis Rouger

Denis Rouger was brought up in a musical home in Paris and studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. In 1991, he started working as university lecturer and “Professeur agrégé“ at the University Paris-Sorbonne, from 1993 to 2003 Rouger was choirmaster at the cathedral Notre-Dame de Paris and from 2005 to 2006 he was cantor at the church Madeleine. In April 2011, Denis Rouger took up the appointment as professor in choral conducting at the Universtiy of Music and the Performing Arts Stuttgart. In 2015, he founded the chamber choir “figure humaine” which puts its main emphasis on French and German Choral Music from the 19th to the 21th century (www.figurehumaine.de )
