Welcome to the fourth edition of
ISA Allegra 2017
13.07.2017 – 24.07.2017
It is essential for every young musician to meet experienced renowned professionals and fellow musicians, and get inspiration by new ideas and inputs. Furthermore, it is vital to make as many own experiences as possible, whether as a conductor, a soloist, or a chamber group partner. The objective of the International Summer Academy Allegra is to provide training with internationally acclaimed faculty, facilitate the collaboration among the participants of all masterclasses, and offer performance opportunities.
In an intense week of lessons and rehearsals, students sharpen their skills in every aspect of their craft. In addition to working with the choir, Allegra participants in the Choral Conducting course receive individual sessions with video analysis and share experiences at group sessions. Violin and clarinet players receive lessons not only on solo repertoire but also on orchestra excerpts. Piano and guitar players focus on improving their technique and interpretation in individual and group sessions. All masterclasses end with a formal final recital.
ISA Allegra takes place in the beautiful city of Ruse that has a long history and vast cultural traditions. Ruse is often called the Little Vienna due its architecture and style. All participants are accommodated in a centrally located hotel in a close proximity to all the performance and rehearsal venues.
